The Te Hoiere/ Pelorus Project is a 10 year program with an Integrated Catchment Management Plan. The first phase of which was a Catchment Condition Survey. Throughout this survey our team became experts in invasive & native plant ID using the Seek iNaturalist mobile application. We specifically recorded a number of weed and native species with the intention of using these as training datasets for supervised classification of aerial imagery. We are easily able to access this dataset from our regional council’s science and monitoring team.
